Default Cheap Speaker Stands.

Hey all, Im just wondering if anyone has any links to any Cheap speaker/monitor stands, maybe something between 4 or 5 feet tall. Ive looked at some on Americanmusical.com that are around $50 each, which isnt bad, but I need about 7 of them...

Any ideas?

D.I.Y.

No major carpentry skills required, buy a few tools, save money.

Go to your local Home Depot and they will cut the pieces for you, use the type of wood thats been prep and its ready for paint.

-Six 4x6" perhaps 5' tall, some of the stores smooth the edges if you ask.
-Twelve 1 1/2 10x12 for the bottom and top...smooth the edges
-one electric Drill
-one good screw driver
-one box of wood 1 1/2 screws
-Glue.
-paint

This will run you about $180.00 depending on the drill you get... On the other hand, you can rent one for a day and it will be about $20.00.

I made mine also, and it seemed to be around 50 bucks in materials, if not less.

lol - my stands are made of phone books. of course they are temporary, but they actually do absorb bass pretty well and elevate them just enough for my ears.
I'll be building something more efficient when I set up the new studio though - similar to the above.
