24Bit in Logic on 001 // SPDIF with 01v
I have some problems with Digi 001 and Logic
How can I activate 24Bit Recording or Playback in Logic on a Digi001. My Logic shows 32 Tracks with digi001 but If I use more than 24 the right channel on Master breaks down ( no output ). Is this why 001 only make 24 channels. And the stereo use of a channel is a bit different like on TDM systems. I don´t understand how it works. Sometimes it records interleaved SD2 sometimes split??? Makes Problems changeing Sessions between 001 and TDM. SPDIF main out of the 01V conected to Digi 001 SPDIF in. 01V shows red on master when ProTools LE or Logic shows only 3/4 of full level? Is there a digital pad option in the 001 (like in the AkaiS6000)? Or is this an problem of the poor 01V? It is not my system but I have too work on this. I am not so used to the 01V and the 001. Please help me |

Re: 24Bit in Logic on 001 // SPDIF with 01v
To enable 24 bit recording in Logic Audio, you have to be running Platinum, and you go into audio hardware, select Direct I/O, and put a check in the box for 20/24 bit recording.

Re: 24Bit in Logic on 001 // SPDIF with 01v
buddy. There is a digital attenuator that can be used as a pad in the EQ section of each channel on the O1V. I don't know logic, but it sounds like you may be double bussing audio to the O1V from two sources.

Re: 24Bit in Logic on 001 // SPDIF with 01v
Thank you baddrunk.
On this workplace only Logic Gold is intalled. I searched there but no checkbox in Gold. Problem solved Hi Lamb What do you mean with double bussing? I send Sound from analouge devices to the 01V and mix it there, then I will record this via spdif (Master out) to a stereo track of the digi 001. All track are only be routed to st not on any bus. And the different level problem occures. I will check the pad setting in the EQ section. Thanks budy |

Re: 24Bit in Logic on 001 // SPDIF with 01v
budy Sorry ,my mistake.I thought you were going from Digi to the O1V.Try raiseing the Protools Or logic faders past unity gain or 0,to get more gain. The O1V has a page to set output levels, -10,+4 ect.It is continuously varible for the anolog outputs, not shure if it affects the digital outs. Brad.

Re: 24Bit in Logic on 001 // SPDIF with 01v
Thanks lamb
I will check this out! In the Akai S6000 there is such an option, too. And Iam wondered because it changes the digital output too, not only the analoges. Thank you! budy |
