Default DAE -6087 Errors driving me MAD on 6.9 - Help !

This is with a Digi 002 Rack.
I am getting constant DAE -6087 errors.
It keeps happening & nothing seems to help.
Working on project right now & this is killing me.
No plug-ins running & only playing a single track!

Yes, I switched my video to 16 bit mode.

I have all the Services disabled/stopped except for bare essentials.
No Network, etc.
Only thing I use this PC for is PT & that is it.
Only other software on this system is Soundforge, CD Arch & UAD-1 Plug-In's.

This is a fresh rebuild of this PC, Win XP Pro w/SP2.
All updates & software is up to date.
PT LE was the last thing installed on this system.

Prior to running 6.9 this PC was running 6.4 on WinXp Pro SP1, pretty stable.

Whats worse is ocassionally I will also get -9092 (OS held off interrupts too long...)

Arrrgh!

My Config:

Dell 400SC computer. 2.4Ghz / 1GB Ram.
Dedicated Audio Drive is a 10K RPM SCSi Drive connected to an Adaptec 29160 card.
System Drive is a 30GB IDE Drive.
UAD-1 PCi Card installed.
Adaptec FireWire PCi Card installed.
Stock ATi Rage XL PCi Graphics card (came with system).

No USB Devices, no other FireWire devices.
Hyperthreading disabled in BIOS.

Very clean & streamlined system thats worked great in past.

Anyone have any suggestion as to what may be the problem here?
My graphics card?
Audio Drive?

I'm at a loss.

There's another post on here at the moment explaining a little that may help, we are getting similar problems in the studio and it is very frustrating. My laptop doesn't choke unless pushed REALLY hard (emachines 6805) but the dell in the studio chokes constantly with almost no effects running. If we find out anythign tonight I'll post it.

I am having similar problems (both the 6087 and interrupts error) with a Dell desktop. Not a novice PT user, and am still trying different things to fix this. Also just went to 6.9. I am now obsessed with this. I can actually, sometimes, get amost 2:30 through a tune before the error pops up. It also pops up immediatley as soon as play is hit for the first time after booting up a new day, but this a relatively minor inconvenience right now. If I can come up with anything I will post it. I switched to 16-bit color and the errors have backed off a bit, but this was never a problem before.

Well I tried the above fixes & no go, still getting constant 6087 errors.
Don't know what else to try...

Recently bumped my system up to 4GB Ram & no effect either.

Next I guess I can try switching video cards, as I have no idea what else to do & the only fixes Digi suggests are the color depth settings. Going to order an AGP video card (currently have a PCI card).

Anything else I can try?
Anyone stuck with 6087 errors?

My system is really tuned up & fast, but PT is not very reliable.

Any suggestions?

That could very well be the culprit. In the meantime, you may want to try a little utility called DoubleDawg to adjust the pci latency setting of the pci video card...but I recommend you get an AGP card and give it a go anyway.
It's available here:

Grrrrrr..... <sigh>
Still gettin tons of 6087 errors...

Tried the DoubleDawg tool but it didn't help.

Other bad news.
Turns out I don't have a AGP slot after all. DOH !
so I am stuck with a PCi graphics card.

So I think am going to replace my current `stock` graphics card with a better one.

Any suggestions on a good & %100 compatible PCi graphics card?
Preferably dual head.

Looks like I finally figured it out...

Turns out it was my SCSI (audio) Drive.
I thought this 10K RPM drive on a dedicated controller would be ideal (I'd used it in past audio PC with no probs).
Turns out it was slow as all hell for some reason, something I never noticed.
I used that PC Wizard 2005 app to benchmark my system, my 7200RPM IDE system drive blew my SCSI drive out the water.

So I removed the SCSI drive & SCSI host card (1 less PCi card now too!).

Replaced with a nice Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm drive & Voila.
Things work much better & smoothly now.
Haven't seen a -6087 error since !

I just ran a DAVEC test & got up to 28 tracks.
(works smoothly at 24 tracks).

Finally, I can start using my system!
