Default MIDI Controller / MotorMix Issues - Help

002 Rack / PT LE 6.4 / Windows XP Pro PC (2Ghz/2Gb).

Downloaded & Installed the Legacy MIDI Controller files.

I go in to Peripherals / Midi Controllers & from drop down list I select "MotorMix".
The problem is this...

While I can select "MotorMix", I cannot select any MIDI Channels for it...
Under "Receive From" & "Send To" - it doesn't let me select anything.
The only thing in the drop down box is 'none'.

If I try to click "ok", PT will give me an error saying:

"You must assign a MIDI Port to `Receive From` for MIDI Controller #1, or changes it's Type to none".

So how do I get past this problem & get my MotorMix working?
How do you select/configure the MIDI I/O stuff on the 002 Rack?

Thanks !

I have the same issue for the CS-10.

Digi have already acknowledged the bug and are looking into it.

So Digi, if this is a known bug then when will it be fixed? Is there a workaround?

I'd like to use my MotorMix.

The MIDI ports don't show up anywhere, whether or not I have the MotorMix plugged in.

Anyone know if there is a work around/fix for this?
Appears to be an acknowledged problem.

I got the MotorMix file from the 'Legacy Midi Controllers' & dropped it in the right folder.
It shows up but you can't select the Midi Receive & Send To ports.

What gives?
I can't seem to setup the MIDI ports with my 002 Rack?
PT LE 6.4 on a P4 PC.

Is this fixed in 6.7 or 6.9 ?
(Which I can't even get...)

Kinda frustrated here, need the MotorMix !

Due to the logistics of logging, implementing and testing of CS updates, it is extremely difficult to give solid release dates. You may not like the answer, but that's the reality.

Any CS updates or new releases will be posted only when they have gone through the proper procedures and notification of updates will be posted in a sticky at the top of every relative forum.

Whats really bothering me is this doesn't seem to be limited to the MotorMix, but more the MIDI Ports in general, PT will not see them period - so no matter what I'd hook up, PT won't be able to see it.
MIDI doesn't work.

As someone who just blew a good wad of hard earned money on a 002 Rack, MotorMix & a new PC...
What do you suggest in the meantime?
Is there a workaround?
Downgrade to 6.1?

Help me out here...

You could downgrade to Pro Tools 6.7.

This issue seems to be related only the the CS10 and Motormix profiles.

FYI: I even tried selecting the HUI profile & MIDI still doesn't show up.

Ok, I just ordered a `6.7 Upgrade` from Sweetwater.
(Hopefully it's in stock.)
Guess now I have to wait till it arrives to try & see if it fixes the issue.
So, had to spend even more money.

With the number of MotorMix/PT users there are I can't imagine I'm only person having this issue.

Not to mention... Really would be helpful if you could actually order (or better yet download) the 6.7 Upgrade, I don't mind paying for it, but at least make it available for purchase to people who want/need it.

Am I missing something here...

I have no problems with the motormix on 6.4, however I'm using an mbox so have an external MIDI interface.

Am I right in assuming you are using the MIDI ports on your 002r....???

Any chance you can borrow an external MIDI interface to try it as a workaround until Digi "get it working" (and I use that term in the loosest sense of the word)

Cheers
