Default PT 2021.10 No Go on Mac 5,1 with Eucon & Artist control
So after updating - Protools crashes on Bootup... Seems 2010.10 is not compatible with artist mix.... I upgraded EUcon to 2021.10 but no go. crashes on initializing controllers... I deleted PT prefs & uninstalled Eucon & seems to be booting up.... ARG... Seems to work fine on my 2nd identical non EuCon Mac System....

Works fine with mine using an Artist Control (not a mix).

Yes Current firmware... I ended up purging all eucon software - via uninstaller But PT was still looking for some eucon library, so ended deleting PT prefs so it's not looking for the eucon, now seems to be working..... gonna wait & see what other users says with my setup.. before I try to re- install. lost half a day messing around -& need to get some work done....

Mac 5,1 / Catalina / 96gbRam/ HDX / Omni / Artist Mix / All SSD's
What are you using to get to Catalina? A patched OS like Dosdude or Open Core. It's possible you've got something incompatible going on there.

I know it doesn't help you but I run a 5,1 with Big Sur and PT 2021.10 just fine but I have an Ethernet C|24 controller, no Econ at all.

The older, silver, Euphonix-branded hardware, or the newer, silver, Avid-branded hardware?

The Dark last version Avid Artist Control. Yes after I uninstalled Eucon I got the missing personality error, so I deleted all PT preferences & solved that... OS instal involved the entire cheese grater graphics card swap out, firmware flash & usb drive image install.. Once I removed Eucon - seems to work fine so far..
