I actually also completely erased my iMac, did a clean install of 11.5.1 and then a clean install of Pro t=Tools 2021.6, and sadly still combatant beach balls and hanging. Glad you are lucky But I'm on a iMac M1, not a Mac mini.

Where are your sessions located? I copy mine to desktop, the internal drive measures about 3000MB/s throughput.

Anyone still seeing this with v2021.7?
If so... please include your system details. Thank you!

Did you get it sorted after installing 2021.7? I was having the same trouble so I reverted back to 2021.3.1. I'm willing to give .7 a try today.

Yes, no other changes than installing the update and it resolved the GUI freezes/hangs, solid now for me

I still get freezing/video glitches every 10s or so. Im not getting the spinning wheel anymore though. I opened a ticket when 2021.6 came out, but was only given copied and pasted troubleshooting steps then told to downgrade.

iMac 5k 2017 i5 on 10.15.7

Did you upgrade from 2021.6 to 2021.7? That is where the fix was applied. Your profile still says 2021.6
