Eleven Rack won't Connect to Omni IO

I just purchased the Eleven Rack and have had no luck connecting it to my Omni I/O. I have read the manual and watched the videos posted by Benoni, and searched the DUC. The Eleven rack is connected via USB to my Mac Pro and to the Omni via SPDIF (out to in and in to out).
I have downloaded and installed the latest Eleven driver from Avid.
When I bring up the hardware setup to select the clock, the Eleven does not show up. I can change the Eleven Rack sounds with the mini window in Pro Tools so there is some connection.
If anyone has a solution I would really appreciate the advice.

Be careful - you're trying to use both 11 and Omni as playback engines, whereas Pro Tools would only work with either of them at a time! In your case, Omni is the playback device and 11 is being seen as MIDI via USB - certainly you can switch to 11 in playback engime settings, but then the Omni would be gone. so basically your choices are: keep using Omni as PT playback and use 11standalone, use 11 in PT but loose Omni's superior audio quality, and thirdly, use 11 as playback engine in Pro Tools but clock it from Omnis standalone. if all this does not make much clear sense, read the manual once more))
