Default Lock midi so it doesn't change tempo?

I'd like to change the tempo of my song from 170 by 50% to 85. Is there a way to lock the midi regions in place so they remain at the 170 tempo? I can do this in Logic. I realize the song is the same tempo but feel it'll be easier finding loops to fit this slower tempo. The 2 lock functions available that I know of only lock the position of the region and not other attributes. I could probably time compress the midi either manually the time tool or some other way. Thanks for any suggestions.

Set the timebase selector to Samples for the MIDI tracks > change the tempo > set them back from Samples to Ticks.
