Dell E1705 Laptop + Pro Tools + ProjectMix. Not working

I use my desktop computer for pro tools, works great. And I also have a Dell Laptop that I want to use to record off-site, but doesn't want to run Pro Tools 7.4cs3. I get the error message -9066 when loading Pro Tools M-Powered, and it closes itself while still at the splash screen. Clean windows installation, no RTAS/VIs/plugins. I'm suspecting it's the integrated firewire port having some incompatibility issues with Pro Tools, but still, the ProjectMix driver installed and works good with Windows and other programs, like Sonar.

Texas Instruments FireWire chipset (same as on my desktop and most computers)
Pro Tools 7.4cs3

Does anyone have any suggestions/experience with this problem?
