Default new macbook pro & ssd

anyone, like me, interested in getting a new laptop with a ssd should research the subject fully.
i've stumbled across this guy, and he's going to post some more results soon.
very interesting, to me anyway..

i'd love to hear from anyone with a macbook pro with an internal SSD who uses LE or m-powered. surely, one of us has one!

here's a positive story from SOUNDONSOUND. basically saying, despite some drawbacks, the SSD still out performs the HDD. trouble is, this is based on the earlier SSD and Macbook Pros. If only they would update...

Same here, is the hefty price tag on those SSD drives really justified?

i travel and work, i also (usually) don't do a lot of recording to the laptop, it's done on another system. most reviews rate the playback powers of ssd highly.
so will the 512gb ssd be a rugged-playback-perfect-travel-workhorse?

so far, i believe the performance hit you get on a full ssd drive, or a ssd drive that has been rewritten too, not an issue - the drop still makes it better than hdd, afaict (as far as i can tell).

my concerns are with the specific toshiba drive apple has opted for. it is the leader in power efficiency but lags behind in i/o throughput - question is, the lower than average i/o throughput enough of a concern of audio users?
