Ok, so what's the scoop?....... Somebody has to know something........
Where is it going next?

When are we gonna get an HD Portable interface for our laptops? (and don't say MBox 2 & LE)

Just as soon as some one makes a laptop with 3 full length PCIe slots.

How on earth are you supposed to make a system that requires a rack of hardware "portable"

Well you Could run a Magma expansion rack chassis with a Magma ExpressCard adapter....Thats portable-with a wheelbarrow......

Welcome to the argument for a full native version of PT

I just hope it doesn't require complete replacement of all our current hardware. I'm not anxious to drop another $30,000+.

In all seriousness, we most likely are moving toward an extremely difficult upgrade. If the next solution is still hardware DSP based, recoding for something other that Motorola chips will be a big deal. It'll take a lot of time for plug-ins to be ported, and many will almost certainly be left behind. I'm not as much in a rush to see this as I was to see PT Mix's successor. There will be pain.
