What plugins have you installed?
Is there anyother hardware attached?
anything you may not have mentioned?
I noticed on your last post that you have a 5400 rmp drive...
everyone I know runs at 7200 rmp.... this may be the issue???? DD?
I would suggest that you use the external drive until you get this problem sorted.

Which drive are you trying to record to?

If you're using the FW drive - does the drive have a FW800 port and are you possibly using a FW400 to FW800 cable?

oookay so,

I haven't got any plugins installed (only those that come with PT LE)
I don't have any hardware connected (only Mbox2)
I tried both USB ports of the macbook for the Mbox2
I tested with my external HD (Lacie D2 250 Go) but it doesn't work (same error)

the drive I'm trying to record to is my internal HD (TOSHIBA 60Go 5400RPM)
but as I said it also doesn't work with my lacie, so I guess it is not a
HD problem (I might be wrong) but more a software issue.

I might add that I have Logic Pro 7.2 installed (with no additional plugins)
and that the mbox2 works well with it (with the core audio driver).

I also add that I can monitor inputs when I arm a track for record
(not only in direct monitoring) I even added plugins (EQ, comp, etc.)

I imported some audio files that I had on one stereo track and tried to create
and edit some fades. Curiously the speaker icon in the fade editor works, and I
can hear the result of fade in/out and crossfades. BUT, when I click "done" and go back
to the timeline, playback doesn't start (again error 9131). This is insane....

let's find a way out of this guys, please !!!

thanks,

Robin

problem solved !!!

I tried to record on another external drive (which was formated with macos extended, not journaled, AND NOT CASE SENSITIVE)
and it worked, so I reinstalled macosx by reformating my macintosh HD with the same format.

now everything is ok !!!

the only problem is that I'm gonna have to reformat my lacie with the same options (250Go...) but whatever.

People at digidesign please indicate this on your web support, this was very annoying...

pro tools LE 7.1.1 does NOT work with drives formated with the "CASE SENSITIVE" option

bye,

robin
