The one with the most powerful Intel processor you can afford (speed is crucial).

BTW, maybe I'm wrong, but I think Avid announced that Pro Tools 10 would be the last version supporting 003 interfaces. If that's the case, I would consider selling the 003+ and buying a brand new MBox Pro. It has better clock, better preamps and some DSP. But that's me.

My 2 cents worth...MOST off-the-shelf computers don't just magically work. And most computer sales people (shoot, even some MUSIC STORE sales people) have no idea what we're trying to do here. If you don't want to build your own, which I highly recommend, think about a purpose-built PC from Sweetwater (I'm sure there are others, but I'm most familiar with these guys, and they ROCK!)

I have an old 003r and my understanding is that Avid expect it to work with PT11 but do not guarantee it...and certainly won't be deliberately stopping it working with PT11

My 002 is working just fine on 10.3.3, and I'll milk it as long as I can.

Does Mbox Pro require a Firewire port?

Just answered my own question by looking at the photo of Mbox. It is Firewire.

To build my own I will need:
1) which motherboard?
2) i5 or i7 ?
3) Which Nvidia graphics card
4) Which Firewire port card?
Thanks.
