Default Midi Patch Changing

I have an Lexicon MPX1 I'm using with PT 5.1 I've typed up a patch name list to change patches via a midi channel in PT's.However when I change the patch it changes to the appropriate patch but when I start playback on PT's it defaults back to patch one.And the really strange thing is that
the farther along I start playback the higher the patch number it defaults to.(If I play from 0 it defaults to patch 1 if I play from about 30 secs in it defaults to about patch 40).I also have a PCM 91 that works fine in this regard.
Thanks Chris
