Importing an OMF: peaking/clipping issue...
Hi,
I have some projects that I made in Sonar X1 and exported to OMF (removing all automation, all plug-ins, bringing all panning to 0 before exporting. At home, if I reimport that prpject from OMF to Pro Tools 9, all waves are ok (no peaking, no clipping). In another studio where we mix the projects using Pro Tools 9 HD, when we import that same OMF, we get tracks peaking (clipping - the wav appears visually extreme!). If I bring the copy in Pro Tools format I made at home (from the same OMF import as well) it is OK at the other studio, no clipping, no peaking!! How can we explain this ? Thanks, Rob

Re: Importing an OMF: peaking/clipping issue...
Are you choosing to ignore "clip gain" and "effects" on the OMF import? There are choices on how you can bring in the OMF... it sounds like it has something to do with that if it opens in other systems fine.
Somewhere in this screen I believe you have issues... Is there a way to check the other PT rig that opened it fine and match these windows? http://media.soundonsound.com/sos/fe...fimport8.l.jpg |
