Default Video issue with Allenstein Machine

Recently constructed a variant of the The Allenstein Machine; working fine with my existing ( old ) lcd display with analog connection; purchased a new monitor last week, a 19" BenQ FP91G+, and am having problems if the DVI is used. The display will intermittently go blank ( monitor indicates no input signal ) when a firewire device is unplugged ( ie audio interface ), and sometimes reboot. I programmed hotkeys to switch displays, and if I do this after the blank display, it will come on for about 1 second, and then blank again. I have updated MB bios, all drivers. Interstingly enough, the driver on the Diamond website is older than the version on the installation CD??

Any suggestions are most appreciated, don't know where to start on this.

Thanks in advance,
Mike
