Default Laptops

Hello all,

New to the board! I am in the mist of investing into M-powered Protools with an M-audio 410 with in the next week. I have been looking at the laptops that are recommended, and wonder are there any other laptops that are worth checking out..I am highly interested in HP laptops from my past, I have had pretty good look with there computer products in the past. Several of the HP notebooks that I have looked at to use in conjunction are: HP zd7000, HP nx5000, compaq x6000...wondering if any of you guys are presently using one of these laptops, what specs (ram, hd, processor, etc..), and how is the performance.

Many Thanks for Assistance!!

PS: I am only using this to record and demo playback, with very few, if any Plugins.
