I have 2022.6 on my laptop and 2022.5 on my studio machine (below) Both work fine ??????????????

Perhaps its a none updated 3 rd party plugin , a bad install, or something in your specific system config..

On my laptop::
Selecting tracks and exporting works fine , the export selections are available and just like it has been for a number of versions (see screen shots below

Exactly where is the "Start" key for fade to end ????????

Save Copy In works fine no crash. Have not gotten any file permissions errors (yet)

Yes I believe the video engine installs with PT

Under File > Export



As files Under Clips (if you highlight the entire track clip/s in the edit window )

So why don't you just revert to the latest working backup of your Protools system?

I have had a great time with the latest version and the last two were just fine here. Love the new additions to post production Timecode overlay and Dolby Atmos exports with Offline Bounce of DolbyAtmos Re-Renders.

For me it's good. I have not had time to check out the midi stuff yet, but will

Both work fine here. On Windows 10 and Mac High Sierra.

Sounds like you have a "you specific" system problem.
And the video engine always installs with the rest.
