Default ATA controller card blues

Hello,
I am having troubles with my Sonnet/Tempo Ultra ATA controller card. When I try to record or playback audio on a drive connected to the card I get DAE -9073 errors. I also get DAE -6045 errors sometimes when I'm not even using the drive on that card.
I am considering buying a firewire case and moving the drive external and just selling the ATA card.

Any help would be great, Chad

Try this....

1) Change the pci slot you have it in.

2) check http://www.sonnettech.com/downloads/default.ht ml
To see if they have an update to your drivers

3) Search for the errors you had, example "DAE 9003 error" in the "search the DUC" area. It may tell you what the errors are.

4) I don't know what CPU you have, but I have a G4/400 with a ProMax ATA 66 controller card. I have three drives on it, and another on my "master" drive set to "slave". I use the controller card HD's for video editing, and the slave drive on my main drive for audio. The logic here is that you are not using the PCI bus for digi 001 and controller card...

HOPE THIS HELPS

I've benn using the sonnet ata 100 card for a couple of months now with great results (knock wood)
The only problem is a bus error on startup once and a while, but the audio is very stable.
