Cool! I may do it tomorrow. Thanks for jumping in Eric. RU running any Atmos stuff? That's my deal. but I am guessing it's mostly a security update.

MacOS 12.4 is working here with no issues identified on both our iMacs.

No Atmos on this computer. To be honest, I don't sense any kind of change w/ this Monterey update.

On 2nd thought... I don't remember getting any beach balls today as I was editing. They were typical in past weeks. So MAYBE this OS update played a role in that? In any case, yes, I think it's fine to update. I also updated a few other Macs around the house and all are acting normal.

Good to know. I have not experienced that, but have had an issue with DADMAN hanging whenever I first boot up the Mac Pro in studio. It's just when I close DADMAN the first time, it will not quit properly then gets a beach ball. However, if I force quit, re-open DADMAN it closes fine all day after that initial open at startup. I will update today after I finish up some backups. Thanks for the update-:)

I updated both our studio iMacs and also my personal M1 MacBook Air. The upgrades went fine on all three computers.

Regarding any performance changes, on the two iMacs we are actually seeing a small, but perceptible, performance increase in graphics screen refresh, SSD file handling and network speed…around 5% +/- each in benchmark testing, which isn’t much admittedly, however taken together they provide a small but noticeable increase in performance.

In my experience by the time Apple releases a fourth version of a major update they are working on performance tweaking.

Well, since it appears to be working for everyone else, I'm going to install it on both my M1 MacBook Air and my M1 Max Mac Studio. If I have any issues after doing so, I'll report back. Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

May or may not be related but I find that I have to wait until I hear the fan rev on my HDX card before I launch DADman. The fan revs when the HD driver loads. If DADMan is launched before that, it crashes. This is on Big Sur.
