Rewire and Midi slowdown

I have a problem with midi and or rewire. Whenever I try to sync my MPC with MTC or Beat Clock or any rewired application the output from them seems to be about 1/2 the tempo it should be. For example If I use Reason adapted standalone it plays fine, but if I use pro tools as the host the same thing doesn't play at the correct tempo. I am changing the tempo in pro tools to match the BPM of the outside stuff. I have trashed all the preferences and repaired permissions and restarted and it still does the same thing. I can't think of a setting that would affect both midi and rewired devices the exact same way.

My system is an M-Box2 connected to my MacBook 1.83 core duo with 2 Gigs ram OS 10.4.8 running protools 7.3.x and an external firewire drive with the Oxford 911 chipset. I also use an MPC-2000 which I have never been able to sync properly with pro tools even when using the sync instructions from digi's website.

If no one has any advice I guess I can uninstall/reinstall pro tools, I'm just trying to avoid that if possible. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
