Default Music Production Toolkit Problem!!! Please Help

I have recently bought the music production toolkit from the digidesign online store and though it advertises to boost your LE system to 48 tracks it will not do this for me does anyone know what the problem could be?

Not with the toolkits. 48 toolkit tracks = 48 tracks - mono OR stereo, e.g. you could have 24 stereo and 24 mono tracks. Or 40 stereo and 8 mono, or 48 all stereo or any combination thereof.

So the OP should be able to get 48 stereo tracks, something is wrong otherwise.

You've downloaded the license to your iLok? Tried trashing the DAE Prefs folder to force PT to rescan the plug-ins?

You can have 48 Stereo Audio tracks, or 48 mono audio tracks.

I believe the Digi site says you have to have multiple audio hard drives for full track count. You may want to look into that.

Pardon my ignorance but are you saying that with the toolkit I can open up 48 stereo tracks which should mean that you should be able to open up 96 mono tracks? What about the voices? I know that I have worked on many sessions that the track count is really high, but have never needed 48 stereo tracks so I am a little confused

I think that I am missing something...I never counted a stereo track as "1", always "2".

No - read my post above. You can have 48 tracks. Total. One track = 1 mono OR 1 stereo track. There's no 'voices' as with the standard version of LE. Your 48 tracks can be any combination of mono and stereo tracks.

And thanks to the person who pointed out that you might need multiple HDs to get the full track count, that could be important.
