i own the full version of amplitube, had various pods, and i broke down recently and bought the mesa boogie rectifier recording pre and is the best thing i have ever heard period in the modeling realm. it sounds like a boogie and that can be good and bad depending on what your going for. i have also ran my pod through it to see what it can do to it and is a huge improvement, fattens it up quite a bit. my two cents, good luck.

I really like Guitar Rig....very diverse, excellent sounds and effects, includes a foot controller. The only negative is that it`s a bit CPU heavy.

I have the full version of Amplitube, and hardly ever use it.
I like NI Guitar rig for in the box modeling.

I use my Pod XT Pro more than anything, as I usually know what sound I want before I track.
Miking my amp (Dr. Z) is my ultimate fave.

I have a few modellers but the one I use most is the Korg Pandora. It has great sounds.

What are the key pros/cons for Git Rig and amplitube--why Git Rig and not Amplitube

checked out the website--the demo mp3s sound great. What can you co with this modeler that you cannot do with Guitar rig or amplitube? Have you or anyone else compared the three????
