Default MIDI selection slowdown

Latest PT, MacOS Mojave. 2013 Mac Pro

When I have multiple tracks selected and visible in the MIDI editor, if I select notes and adjust for length with the Trim tool, there is a very long delay before anything happens. Maybe 15 instrument tracks in the session, selecting seven of them. Really hard to move quickly. This has been true since 2020 versions as well.

Anyone else?
