Default OFFLINE media/audio

It's a problem ever since I started to use PT, how can you get rid of the dialog box asking you to find a "lost" file in your session.I mean when you remove the file from the paylist, from the files folder in your disk, it's STILL asking you for that file, and searching for offline media or audio isn't working either(of course, the file is GONE).
Running PTle 5.2 with OS 9.2.
Thanx for your help Ducers.
