I think some are not understanding the point. When dealing various sample rates and bit depths, you should not convert unless you need to. I dont want output every file at the sample rate i like. I want to keep it as is until the final step, or when desired for a specific reason.
All of this simply points out how helpful it would be to have a field in the BOUNCE TO MIX window that tells you what your current sessions doing.

Why does it need to be there? Go to session setup window (command two if memory serves me right) before bounce if you forgot.

That's a decent rule of thumb for instances where little to no processing or mixing will be done. If your duties chiefly involve editing material and exporting the edits with no other changes, it would be best not to accidentally change the sample rate or bit depth along the way. But doesn't that happen more or less automatically if you don't manually change something in the Bounce window?

A "Use Sessions Settings" would be a nice option in the drop down Bounce Menus. I would also love the option of showing meters for every bounce mix source so you can eyeball what is happening at the outputs.

The "Smarter Me" would remember that every time.

Ong. That’s what I’m saying. I realize I can see that info in the session window.
My point is I don’t remember what the data is AFTER I have already opened the bounce window and named the file and selected various options. The point being it’s a drag to have to close the window , open the session window , remeber the data and start over.
If the data was in the bounce dialog , you could easily see the data and make adjustments.
The bounce options change depending on what version of PT and what the last setting selection was.
Its a simple concept : have the sample rate and bit depth of the current session displayed in the bounce dialog window. This way you won’t need to close , and reopen.

Opinions vary, but mine is that bounce window does not need session settings.

Opinions do vary.
For the record , I’m suggesting only a indication of the settings, not the ability to change them. Just a reminder of where your session is at , so all the options you already have in the Bounce window make more sense. This way you will know if you are about to down sample , convert , or whatever. Seems pretty helpful to me.

I would love a simple button to insert the session file name.

Of course I can copy it before I open the Bounce window but half the time I forget.
