Default Remote transport control with D-Command?

So, I have replaced my ancient HD2 system with a new Mac Studio and an HDX card, and upgraded to the latest PT version. I'm running it under Rosetta, and the D-Command works perfectly. However, I used to use an ancient Frontier Design TranzPort for remote control. It was a simple little wireless controller (just buttons, no faders) that worked perfectly...but there aren't any modern drivers for it.

It appears, after research and experimenting, that you can't run Eucon and the legacy D-Command at the same time, so Avid Control on an iPad isn't an option. I tried, and I could only have one of the two (iPad or D-Command) active at a time. So, is there a simple software or hardware solution using HUI (preferably wireless) that could be used?

Anyone out there using an Icon with current PT with some way to remotely control the transport?

The Tranzport was unique because it used it's own transmitter/receiver. I can't think of a current HUI hardware controller that is wireless.

There have been one or two available on the IOS app store over the years but they usually get abandoned.

I used to use one on Android called TouchDAW. It might still be available. Does require a little bit of setup but after that worked well.

Oh I just looked and Korg claims their nanoKontrol Studio works on modern Macs... might be worth a look.

Thanks. It does appear it might work. Overkill for my purposes, but that's OK. Too bad there's no screen. I already miss my TranzPort. :-(

I did try several of the iOS apps (Pro Transport, MIDIQuest, etc.) with my iPad, couldn't get any of them to work...

You could try to use a Stream Deck with the MIDI-Plug-In. I use it for a lot of functions that HUI is capable of. Only thing is you have to dig into raw MIDI a bit.

Well, I'm not a MIDI expert but maybe I could figure it out. One downside is that it's USB powered, so not as portable. Still, looks like a possibility.

I think Elgato also released a Steam Deck App for Android and iOS. Maybe it's worth having a look at it.

You cannot have D-Command and EuCon at the same time.
