USB hub conflict with ProTools???
Since my Mac has only 2 USB ports and I need more than that, I added a USB hub. Now I get one of two general OS error messages when lanching ProTools:
-error type 2. -error type 3. Basically, I can't even open ProTools now when I have the hub plugged in. The hub is made by Griffin Technology. I've also tried other hubs and come up with the same errors. My setup: Mac G4--533Mhz MacOS 9.1 768MB RAM ATIRadeon 8500 ProTools 5.1 (with 1 Mix Card and 1 Farm Card) Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this (other than having to unplug the USB hub everytime I go into ProTools)? |

Re: USB hub conflict with ProTools???
Bross,
Is the hub powered? Also, what devices do you have connected to the hub? If your running an iLok on the hub, you may want to try moving it to another port. Type 2 and type 3 errors are usually caused by a RAM issue or corrupt software. regards, mike |

Re: USB hub conflict with ProTools???
Thanks for the reply. I got it working yesterday by upgrading from PT 5.1 to PT 5.1.1.
