You may want to do a search, in the Digi 001
for Windows forum. You're bound to find some
info. on this. I do hear the latency with Cubase & PT is substantial.

Can't really help from personal experience - but did a search and found the following article:
http://duc. digidesign.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=32&t=000899

Although it's a year old (nearly) I can't believe anything's changed. Doesn't surprise me as Steinberg stopped supporting DAE a few years ago (well maybe 18months anyway).

I should probably qualify that the Digi response may seem a bit strange saying contact Steinberg to get them to provide the drivers. I think this stems from Logic and Digital Performer both directly support Digidesign hardware. Whereas a little while back Steinberg said if you want your hardware to work with Cubase you have to provide ASIO drivers. As this is hardly Digi's primary market, it's not really a shock they haven't. Plus you've got to imagine they must be pretty mad at Steinberg for suddenly dropping support.

Time to learn Pro-tools then!

Good luck

Pete

I believe the Mac ASIO drivers for Cubase are about 2 years old and only run ASIO version 1. I'm not sure they will even run on Cubase 5.0.

I don't believe there are ANY ASIO Digi drivers for the Windows version of Cubase.

I believe Steinberg calls these "ASIODirectIO" drivers. You might try a search on their site or an email to them.
