Beyer M500 ribbon mics

I recently acquired two Beyer M500 ribbon mics. They're about 20 years old. They both work, but sound don't sound the same. One's a little brighter than the other and I don't know how close they sound compared to a newer one. Are these mics worth
being repaired given the the price and assortment of todays new microphones on the market?
