Default Waves Mercury Retrograde

Any chance Waves will offer us TDM version owners $3000 back to downgrade to the native version??

In reality, it would be the right thing to do since we paid more for the TDM version which we are now using as native.

Alternatively they could instead give us all soundgrid systems for free.

The irony is that even if I was given the soundgrid hardware for free, I would probably not want to use it because of the workflow issues it would create.

Come to think of it, is ANYONE using Soundgrid with Protools? I have not heard of one person using it.

I go back to suggesting Waves do "the right thing" and giving us cash to do the downgrade.

good one. You have a future as a fantasy writer.

Seriously, same boat here but thankfully only the Renn bundle, SSL bundle, and CLA comps.

I did buy the C4 for $25 and the Scheps 73 for $75 recently. Otherwise, done with them unless I see crazy deals like these two.

I tried to get a higher native bundle (Diamond) for my Platinum TDM license, no way, just Platinum Soundgrid (which I'll never use). :-(

From my experience - NO.

I worked with my local dealer and they were able to downgrade me from TDM to Native (Plat + SSL) so I could stop having to pay TDM upgrade prices) - but I got nothing for it - just TDM to Native. This was about a year ago.

I'll give them a year or two. IF they still after that (1-JAN-2016) really think that SoundGrid is the way to go and have not released AAX-DSP versions of their plugins, then I'm really done with them.

At that time, someone must have created a C6 killer...

Doesn't McDSp have a multiband compressor? In anycase just do like I did, send word to Colin at McDSP for a 6 + band compressor/expander. he likes making compressor so much that he might just go for it.

Yes they have, but there's something special in how I "dig" the C6 workflow. It is actually a C4 with added two dynamic eq's as I see it. And I can get desired results very fast with it.
