Should be simple to resolve???

hello-I just recently installed a windows update and now windows media player and itunes will not use the digi hardware. I have been a PTs user for a long time now and have never had this problem. I checked all the obvious--preferences in both apps and I have digi selected as the primary engine in teh control panel.
There are no issues with wavelab, reason or any other audio apps.
Anyone else having this issue? thanks
