Default Pro Tools 9.02 Spot Dialog Box Will Not Appear

Pro Tools is working perfectly except for the fact that the Spot Dialog Box does not open when I click on a region in Spot Mode. I've tried it with both types of the grabber tool, as well as with the selector tool and the smart tool. I need to use the spot because i need to use Sync Point, so I can't really work around it.
The project is due tomorrow, please help!

My setup:
iMac with Snow Leopard Version 10.6.7, with 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 and 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory
Pro Tools 9.02, although I qualify for a free upgrade for Pro Tools 10 (I haven't upgraded yet because there's a good chance that there will be compatibility issues)
Mbox 2 Mini

Well, I'm not entirely sure what would be causing that issue, sorry, but may be able to provide a workaround, assuming this will work if Spot dialog isn't.

Control-Shift clicking on a region with grabber tool will snap the sync point to playhead so you may be able to get by with that until you figure what's going on with the Spot dialog. So if you know where you need the sync point to be, drop the cursor at that point in the timeline in the edit window, then control-shift-click the region with the sync point, it should wind up where you need it. Hope that helps.

Have you got [options menu>auto spot regions] turned on? That could be it.

Ah, nice call Dave, that could be the culprit. Can't say I've ever used that option, nor had it engaged.
