macOS Sequoia (15.x) - Not qualified yet
macOS Sequoia (15.x) was released on September 16th, 2024. Currently, it is not yet compatible (qualified) with: Media Composer Pro Tools Sibelius Our engineering and quality assurance teams are working to ensure compatibility. We will announce the qualification for each product family once it passes our rigorous testing. Next Steps: Avid recommends continuing to use previously qualified hardware and operating systems for your Avid products until this article is updated with new qualification statuses. Typically, Avid does not retroactively qualify versions of its software. Instead, we will release new versions of: Pro Tools Media Composer Sibelius These new versions will be designed to support the new macOS and possible with some caveats which will be documented. Re: macOS Sequoia (15.x) - Not qualified yet
I just got a message from Eventide saying the same thing. Don’t use their plugins on Sequoia.

Re: macOS Sequoia (15.x) - Not qualified yet
And yet OTOH as one data point Eventide Anthology has been running here apparently fine on 2024.6 on Sequoia though all the developer beta releases and now the production release.
And no that does not mean doing this is a good idea on your production system. The high level take away for me was my early impressions of Pro Tools on Sequoia are very positive, in complete contrast to the poop-show that was then Pro Tools releases on Sonoma beta and Sonoma. That was bugs galore, software crashes, etc. I have no idea what other problem there might be say with high-end EUCON systems, HDX, or film/post work, etc. none of which I touch. But I just take it as a hopeful good sign for fewer problems going forward and hopefully formal support soon. |

Same here, pretty good expectations with Sequoia, running great on my system ( testing system) for the moment. Hope it stays the same until the official support from Avid.
