Default MIDI Editor no sound when selecting notes

Hello anyone,

When I select individual notes in the MIDI Editor I don't hear sound. But, when I push the spacebar all notes sound. I want to be able to click on any MIDI note and hear sound. How do I do this?

I have P.T. 8 , 003 rack, Mac OS10.5.8 which is the last version of Leapord before snow leapord.

Please help.
Thanks,
Grateful
