What kind of disk?

What kind of files?

Have you used any other software to try and open the files on the Mac like SoundAPP or SoundRecorder?

Did you enforce mac/pc compatibility in the session?

From the What's New in Pro Tools 5.1 document:

quote:
Cross-Platform Support

Pro Tools 5.1 features a cross-platform session file format that lets you open sessions on both Macintosh and Windows platforms without first converting them. AIFF and WAV format audio files can be recorded and played on either platform.

You need to have Pro Tools 5.1 or higher on both systems:

quote:
In order to share Pro Tools 5.1 sessions between Macintosh and Windows, the “Enforce Mac/PC Compatibility” option must be selected when creating the session, or when saving a session copy.

Do a Find in your PT Reference Guide v5.1 for the word "enforce" and you should find more details.

If you have the ability to go back to the PC and open the sessions on v5.1 or 5.1.1, you can "Save session copy..." and choose the enforce Mac/PC option at that time.

Otherwise, you're probably going to be limited to importing tracks and lining them up at the beginning of the session.

If you don't have Pro Tools 5.1 and need to convert .wav files to .aif, you can use something like SoundApp or QuickTime Pro on the mac. Or you can upgrade to v5.1.1 which will import .wav files, as will PT 5.1. I don't remember if v5.0 or 5.0.1 can use the "import and convert" feature in Pro Tools to bring .wav files in, but you can check to see if that is possible in your version.

When you say there's no audio do you mean no SOUND or no visible waveform? In other words, is there any evidence of successful data transfer beyond the track name?
