Default Best Books or DVD to learn Pro Tools

I know this has been covered here numerous times, but I'm not having much luck searching.

Besides the Pro Tools 101 Official course manual, what are best books or DVDs for learning Pro Tools?. I need to buy a new PT owner/musician a birthday gift.

Kenny Gioia’s video tutorials are top notch. Search the forum for his latest posts, discussing the launch a second volume of his. Highly recommended.

As for books, have you tried searching for “ProTools” on Amazon.com?

IHTH.

<<Best Books?>>

Pro Tools for Musicians & Songwriters by Gina Fant-Saez is great for beginner/intermediate users with full color printing and a very straight forward approach. Details version 7.

The new "Skill Pack" Pro Tools books from Thomson are all very good with included Pro Tools sessions and tutorials, Mixing in Pro Tools, Editing Audio in Pro Tools & Working with Beats in Pro Tools. YMMV

And as mentioned, Kenny's videos are very well done. All of the videos from Volume 1 are now available on grooveboxmusic.com so you could just get a month subscription for "a present" & the receiver could also see videos on other subjects like Reason & Logic. I teach Rec Tech at a State College and these are my most recommended titles.

Best

Walt

Yes, and there were way too may hits, which is why I was asking for opinions. Thanks for the tip on Kenny...I think that was the one I was looking for.
