Default Are these pro tools books any good?

Hi there, new to pro tools. I'm thinking about getting some books to help me get up to speed. I use pro tools LE on a Mac powerbook. The main purposes for it is to record our church sermons and radio show, and the secondary purpose is to record some gospel music as well.

Anyway, I found these on Amazon

Pro Tools 7 Power!: The Comprehensive Guide
Pro Tools LE 7 Ignite!: The Visual Guide for New Users

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/159...lance&n=283155

Can anyone recommend these books? Or is there something else you might recommend? Thanks!

Tom

I bought "The Complete Pro Tools Handbook" by Jose "Chilitos" Valenzuela of Amazon, It is excellent it goes from basic to advanced use, tells you how to set up for certain uses and goes into video sync. I highly recomend that book. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/087...Fencoding=UTF8

I just purchased "ProTools 101" 7.0 which is the actual course manual used at Berkely, and it is great. I also have "The Musician's Guide to Protools" by John Keane, which has helped alot...read and be informed.

Yeah.... I wasn't quoting YOUR post at all - I in fact DID look at your link. But thanks.

P.S.

"Comercial" is spelled "Commercial"

I have the two you asked about:

Pro Tools 7 Power!: The Comprehensive Guide
Pro Tools LE 7 Ignite!: The Visual Guide for New Users

I have them for SX3 as well and I like them, easy to read and understand for me
