Avid are aware and acknowledged it but still will not fix it!!

They've acknowledged awareness for a decade already. For those who need that to work right, it's past time to move on to a different DAW. They're not going to fix it. Ever.

I have no idea as to why avid doesn’t really put the word out about what the possibilities are on the midi side. Crap, there is even a FL studio type drum editor work around if you have the patience to set it up and save it as a template.

Dig deep…pt midi is way more robust than many think.

Yes I really like it too. I find it very quick to work with. The recently added key commands have made it even faster. I like how you can view controller lanes of multiple tracks and copy and paste between them.

But…
1. I’d love to see a state-of-the-art drum editor. Dear Avid, copy the one recently added to Logic without the My Little Pony colours!
2. A drag-and-drop built in-sampler like Live’s Simpler but a bit more posh with a drum machine mode like the one in Logic.
3. A breakpoint based MIDI CC automation option like in DP.

To the OP.
The MIDI Editor is rock solid here so it can work. Yes proper MIDI track playlists would be nice as would a fix for the sample rounding bug. I suspect the latter is a not insignificant fix.

Bugs - how so? Other than the sample rounding issue? I like PT's MIDI implementation as it is and I do a good bit of MIDI editing.

A Scissors tool that cut the notes in waveform view.

(EDIT! I mean Clip view, not waveform view. I'm talking about cutting MIDI in Clip view)

You're joking right? That would be almost impossible to do without clicks/pops.

A scissors type tool does exist in pt. 2 ways to do it. Command E (separate regions can do it for groups of notes. If you have the grabber tool selected and hold control shift (I’m not in front of pt at the moment), the grabber turns into a knife tool where you can also separate notes…a hidden gem I found.

Separate audio notes? That's what podusa is talking about I believe.

Are you serious? I am watching midi notes disappear as I am editing right now...

I'd like to see note names on the notes in the MIDI Editor, ala Cubase, and have a shortcut for turning Input Quantize On/Off.

To be able to cut & insert time without notes and markers shifting throughout the whole arrangement.
Never had a problem with this when I first purchased Pro Tools 10/11.
So it seems only fair to the customers who are continuing to pay for current releases that a fix be provided.

For those who suggest using another DAW: Yes. I've accepted that.
After paying over two full years for support & features with no fix, I've accepted that.
But I'm willing to continue to be a PT user and just keep manually fixing my arrangement.
In the time it would take me to re-learn a decade of workflow & shortcuts in another DAW, I can patiently realign the note shifts.

PT has the only GUI I don't tire of. It can be nauseating re-learning another DAW.
I'm rocking regardless no matter how hard I have to work at my drums, bass & keyboard arrangements/accompaniments in Pro Tools .

I just have to be more logistic and perhaps commit my sections to audio before cutting & inserting parts.
If I want to go back and change MIDI tempos, I can keep a saved copy of the original arrangement and commit/export section clips from that.

But please devs, do what's necessary as a team for those who are willing to stick with our preferred DAW in these circumstances.
Especially, if we're paying to stay current.
Right now PT would be a dream DAW if I could carry out cuts & inserts accurately.

I know, I know...Keep dreamin'...
