MC Transport - Jog Track Select
Hi,
First post… MC Transport, Win7, Nuendo 5.5; I have programmed one of the soft keys on my MC Transport to govern “Track Select” with the Jog Wheel [Jog -> Left (or Right) Edit: Jog Track Select]. It works well, but I can’t get it to work in the correct direction. When I am scrolling faders from left to right I want the wheel to work clockwise. I have to turn it anticlockwise, and vice versa. Any way to change this behavior so it will feel more natural? Thanks PlugSlut |

Re: MC Transport - Jog Track Select
make sure that "turn jog right" and "turn jog left" are correctly defined in the editor right underneath "custom jog wheel commands"

I am not sure what to do exactly. Can you please give me a closer advice on how to set it up? I would think that the factory setup took care of basic things like wheel directions. But – I am new to this… All other scrolling functions and wheel behaviors (like “control room volume”) that I have tried, works as expected. Thanks PlugSlut |

I have made two “Custom Wheel Commands” and gave them names, one with Left and one with Right direction. Am I supposed to program the “Jog Track Select” in this same very window in the field under? I can’t find the “TU Softkeys” in the menu there. These new Custom presets showed up as Custom in the Softkeys -> Command -> Add -> “TU Softkeys” under the Functions menu. I have now tried these Custom in the first line and the Jog -> Left (or Right) Edit: Jog Track Select in the second line in a lot of combinations. I am saving after every time I choose a new combination. The wheel always has that same direction regardless of my settings. Thanks PlugSlut |

Re: MC Transport - Jog Track Select
You only need to create one custom wheel command. Assign you desired left command.. then switch the drop down menu to Right and select your Right command.
This will be saved as a single command with both left and right turn commands built in. You can access your new command from the CUSTOM area when you're programing it to a button. |

Re: MC Transport - Jog Track Select
Hi,
@ robertg and jesse_p You were both spot on. I have been fooling around for a long time, and I think I have been over-thinking this programming. For some reason I made two Custom Commands, one for each direction, which killed each other Now after reading your posts and page 23 – 26 in the manual slowly a lot of times – I finally got it Thanks a lot for your help PlugSlut |
