Default PT | Control Connectivity Issues

Since the EuControl 3.6 update, I have not been able to get the PT | Control app to connect to Pro Tools. In the past, it worked wonders!

Firstly, the iPad is recognized by the EuControl software.



But when I try and move it to My Surfaces, no luck.



What troubleshooting steps do I need to take here to get this app to work again?

My S3 is working and connecting just fine.


iPad Pro 2016
iOS 10.3.1
Pro Tools 12.7.1
Mac Pro (Late 2013)
macOS Sierra 10.12.4
iPad and Mac Pro are on the same WiFi Network
Reinstalled EuControl 1/2 dozen times

Thanks for responding to my issue.

Yes, the iPad app was also updated.

I also tried updating the EUCON Preferences Network Interface to Wi-Fi as I read in a couple of blogs that this solved their connection issues. It didn't for me.

What else should I be checking? The app is great when it works! I'd love to get this resolved.

Are you on a 5ghz internet WiFi connection as 2ghz will have connection issues.

That's only a performance issue (speed) it should at least connect and show tracks on 2Ghz

Out of interest what's the name of the iPad. There is an issue sometimes if theres a ' in the name.

And that didn't work.

I renamed the iPad and took out any special characters.

I restarted the iPad.

The device still shows as available in the All Surfaces window in EuControl Settings. But it doesn't show a way that I can move it to My Surfaces.

I restarted Pro Tools 12.7.1 and the PT | Control app still shows "Not Connected".

Any thoughts?

I have the same issue.

got my S3 yesterday(had a running Dock and Control on eucon 3.5)

When i installed Eucon 3.6 my Ipad pro could not connect to My Mac Pro any more.

I see it in the Eucon app. but it is not moving to the right side of the column.

When i press "add" it say's i have to update my Control app to the latest version for my ipad.

I have my Ipad connected via the new apple Ethernet adapter.(tested it also on a 5Ghz Wifi network)

I removed the the control app on my Ipad and re-downloaded and installed it.

But still nothing.

I am wondering if the App store has the latest version of the Protools control App ,because I'm in Europe The Netherlands.

Got it to work,,

Switched Ethernet ports on my Mac Pro.

and re booted the iPad
