If avid would do that kind of redesign on pro tools I would freeze my pro tools system and use it as long as I can. New ideas are fine and needed to get better but that is not the right direction.

pro tools have the best overall Layout and Design of all daws in my opinion (okay the dark version could need some updates) but I hope that avid takes their craft on updates (performance, ARA, apple Big sur & M1) than on those kinds of visual „downgrades“

Really!! "NOOO, NOOO Ribbon menu is garbage, I'm going back to win95, ..."

I feel sorry for how pathetic your comments, Microsoft invent the ribbon menu to improve the user experience, you start studying UX, because you understand absolutely nothing.

The ribbon menu speeds up the choice of items, with recognizable icons, improves the user interface and makes the workflow more intuitive, VERSATILITY. that's the key to working faster, and I work faster since I have Word 2019, the ribbon menu is implemented by companies like Autodesk with their Autocad, Inventor, 3DS Max, PTC Creo, O&O Defrag, Matlab, and eternal etc ...

The problem is that you will have to go back to training Pro Tools 101, 110, etc..., with the new interface, because we are accustomed to the disgusting Win95 menu.

At first it cost me to understand it, but once I learned where the menu items were, in just 2 days it turned out to be much better than the prehistoric and obsolete vertical menu that in Photoshop for example is longer than the width of my monitor, a crap.

Huzzam, I invite you to use Sibelius 7 for 30 days and then tell me the results.

I am sending you an example of what the tape menu can do, if many want to continue living in prehistory:

Please for all that's scrutable - NO FREAKING RIBBON GUI for PT. EVER. Microsnot screwed up Excell and Word when they went to the ribbon.

You're tilting against windmills dude

Exactly. I know people have strong legitimate opinions about the newly created dark mode but remember you can always run in classic screen mode. Unlike with a ribbon gui - once a ribbon always a ribbon. I'd sooner scrub out my cat's litter box with a toothbrush then work with a ribbon gui in PT

The OP should probably just stop being lazy and learn the shortcut key commands like the rest of us have, instead of requesting something literally no one else wants.
