Sorry if this is super newb question but is there any way to "cancel" the fact that pro tools plays the edit/timeline selection in the middle of playback so it will continue playing back beyond the selection? without pausing in the middle.
seems like a logical thing to have but I can't find any way to do that. If a feature like that doesn't exist, am I the only one who misses something like that? Let's say you're playing back a part for a client and he says "continue the playback" in the middle of playing back the selection, then you HAVE to stop and start playing again. |

Dynamic Transport.
Keep it in Dynamic Transport. You can extend the playback selection while playing. Otherwise, don't make a selection and just stop it manually.

I have Post roll set to 300 bars for this reason. As long as you aren’t looping, that will work.
