Alesis DM6 midi out is USB- computer doesnt recognize it
I am trying to get my computer to recognize these Alesis DM6 drum pads as a midi input using a USB cable plugged from the Alesis into the computer.
I'm running PT 6.4 HD on a G4 PowerPC OS ver 10.3.1. I have a Digidesign midi interface plugged in to the computers USB as well which works fine. But no one makes a USB out / Midi in cable, alas. How can Pro tools see GM midi input on the USB port? Any help from midi experts out there would be gratefully appreciated!

Wow see what ur talking about - u need a standalone type of interface - a third wheel type if thing
