The only difference between gold and silver is the number of instruments/samples you get.

EDIT: I see from the link that you're looking at the structure edition. I haven't used that so most of what I posted is not relevant to your question.

I've never used Eastwest directly in Pro Tools, for a long time it didn't work at all, I think they finally got it working at some point. I do use Eastwest Gold(PLAY version) as a VST or standalone in Windows 7 x64 without issue.

Have you tried posting on eastwest's forums? There is probably someone one there that knows.

Structure is what needs to be compatible as that is as the actual plug in, the EW symphonic orchestra is a series of patches for the plug in. If you look down this page it shows it is compatible with windows 7 and PT9.
but I would contact EW and Avid just to make sure.
