Default Hard Disk Icon in the Desktop

Hi,

Everytime When I boot my Mac HD I am forced to Mount my Hard Disk in the Desktop. What should I do to get my Hard Disks mounted automatically when I boot my Mac G3.

Are you using a SCSI card? What did you use to format the drives?

Here is the Info

We are using the SCSI Single Channel Card and are using the Avid Drive utility to format the drive.

We are using the Mac OS 8.5 and Macintosh G3 system.

If I were you I would change to OS 8.6 which is far more stable for PT than 8.5. Use FWB 3.0.2 (or newer) to format your drive. This will automount the drive.

Good Luck!

How old is that utility? Most from the past 3-5 years usually have the driver set up to automount on boot!
