Default ILok Programs Causing Freeze inLaunch of Pro Tools

Here's the deal:

Pro Tools 7.0 freezes during launch while loading any ILok authorization required plugin (i.e. Maxim, Cosmonaut Voice, Moogerfooger, etc.). When the load screen gets to "loading Cosmonaut Voice.dpm" or if I deinstall it any ILok authorized plug-in, the screen just freezes.

If I remove all ILok authorized programs from my computer, I can run Pro Tools just fine.

My Ilok has all necessary drivers, communicates fine with computers, synchronizes with no problem with ILok website, etc. Tried clean install of Pro Tools, etc.

I have talked to Digidesign technical support on and off for three weeks, and they don't know what else to try.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's my configuration:

MBox 2, Pro Tools LE 7.0 (or 6.8 or 7.1 same problem with clean install.)

My computer is running on Raid0, with a partioned D: for music.

theres your problem, raid0 is a POS and you need a seperate drive for recording not just a partition

Maybe that is the problem, and I have scheduled to have the Raid O configuration changed next week. However, I still question as to why Pro Tools ran fine for 5-6 months before I ever had this problem. Why all of a sudden did the Raid (if that is the problem) become an issue?

Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to post.

Digidesign did notice the problem with having RAID 0 but never indicated that would be my problem with the freeze upon launch. Said it could be the problem, but they really didn't know. Either way, I know I need to get the RAID off the system; just hope that solves the problem.

Please keep me posted as I'm having the exact same problem. It's narrowed down, I believe to Protools communicating with the iLok on said computer. I have a desktop with same configuration and it's working fine. I tried installing Drumagog and noticed afterward that I couldn't launch Protools after that. Unfortunately my system restore isn't working and I can't go back. Please keeep me advised on how you make out, as will I.

Bjons,

I'll make sure I post on here if anything is accomplished with the problem we are both having.

Also, do you happen to have any RAID configuration on the computer in which you are having the problem?

CS,

No RAID config. Preparing to re-install 7 on neighbor's laptop with MBox and see if I can make this happen again. If not I'm thinking I may have a problem with my laptop USB and Protools. My iLok does sync online but will not allow plugs to open... I know you're as frustrated as I am and I'll get to you the secound anything positive happens.

At the suggestion of varoius Pro Tools users, I just tried different USB ports for my ILok. I also tried a USB hub (why not?). Nothing worked..same problem.
