Wink Free Hand Pencil Tool Becomes Line Pencil Tool

Hello! When composing MIDI material, I usually like to use the Trim, Selector, Grabber, and Pencil tools when editing in MIDI mode.

If I hit select one of these editing options (e.g., Command-6) twice in a row by accident (which happens a lot), the Free Hand pencil becomes the "line" pencil, which drops little grid-size pellets when I draw new notes, instead of making single notes as long as I indicate via mouse dragging. I don't want this to ever happen. Is there some way to disable the Command-# toggling functionality? Thank you!!
