Connecting a remote to the Accessory Port
Hi,
I've searched but can't find any information on the 'Accessory Port' on the back of the Digi 96. SOS says at the moment it is used for testing and maintenance but that article is ages old. Basically my main query is that I have an old RC-2424 remote for a Tascam MX-2424 and I wondered if it would be possible to connect it to my PT HD rig to use as a transport possibly a scrubber, if the track record enable buttons would work that would be even better! They're both 9 pin D-Sub but I assume the problem would be are they speaking the same language? Anyone have any experience with this? Cheers Rich |

Re: Connecting a remote to the Accessory Port
For the remote, you will need a Machine Control add-on product. Just dig it up from Avid.com and read for yourself. I do not know what product you have and which are supported but you should know once you read the docs.
