...suddenly there was NO SOUND

i don't get it at all. i got the DIGI001 about a month ago.hook it up, no problems. installed the DEMO to check the sound. no problem there either. used it sporadically and today i turn it on after not touching for a week and BANG.. NO SOUND. i did nothing different. so i thought it may be my monitors. i hook them up to something else and get sound. so i try to play a cd on my computer and i get nothing. nada. the cd plays but no sound from the 001. i reinstalled the wavedrivers, and the LE software. Nothing.

does anybody have any suggestions?

i also tried to record something from a mic. opened an audio track, plugged my mic in, set the I/O for it. hit record and my system was not generating a signal from my mic. it was a condenser so i used phanton power. so i tried the other mic line/in, nothing except when i hit record there, the meter went crazy to the tune of what i have no idea cause i wasn't playing anything yet. in any case i never hear anything from my monitor or from my headphones either.

If you create an Aux track and can't get a single from the mic, then things seem pretty corrupted. Look in Device Manager for any devices that are not working. Remove PTLE and reinstall it. Check the cables going from the PCI card to the breakout box.

Thanks Mark for your help but i fixed it.

someone, who shall remain nameless, decided they needed to move my tower and when they "dragged" it on the floor, plugged my digi cable halfway out. So it still registered but i got no audio and couldn't record into it.

Part of me is happy it was something so dumb, cause it could haven't gotten super worse.
